Belinda Collins is a Leadership and Executive Coach with more than 10 years of experience in coaching leaders and executives, both as an independent practitioner and as an award-winning leader in the Federal government. Her coaching focuses on developing leaders in organizations such as the National Science Foundation, Chemical Safety Board, National Institute of Standards and Technology, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, American Association of Medical Instrumentation, International Monetary Fund Family Association, Leadership Fairfax, Leadership Arlington, and Share our Strength.
Belinda brings to coaching her ten years of accomplishment in the Senior Executive Service as Director and Deputy Director of Technology Services and then Senior Adviser for Voting Standards at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), plus extensive prior experience leading and managing high-performing professionals in scientific fields at NIST as Director of the Office of Standards Services and Leader of the Lighting Group. She is also an accomplished researcher in human factors and applied psychology with more than 70 technical publications at NIST.
Belinda holds a Ph.D and M.A. in Experimental Psychology from the University of Virginia and a B.A. in Psychology from University of Mary Washington. Dr. Collins received her Leadership Coaching Certificate from Georgetown University and is an Associate Certified Coach of the International Coach Federation. She also holds certificates in Leadership Circle, DiSC, Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), Emotional Intelligence (EQ-I 2.0 and 360), Strength Deployment Inventory (SDI), and a Certificate in Leadership for a Democratic Society from the Federal Executive Institute. Other coursework includes: Adult Development, Team Coaching, and the Art of Facilitation.
